Hi John,
Here are a few non-technical suggestions: 1 - Keep the PDF help guide format. The bookmarks make it very navigatable, and using the Ctrl+F function makes searching the entire document extremely time-saving; 2 - Reversing the zoom in/out on the roller to mimic default autocad style (or provide the option to change); 3 - Someone mentioned DXF control; I agree this is a good idea, especially for 100+ intersection networks; 4 - Allowing intersections through curvilinear links; 5 - Synchro to allow or designate left-turn volumes through TWLTLs without the "back-to-back" storage lane workaround; 6 - An option to allow multiple sub-windows in the "Print Window" feature. For example, if I want to showcase six intersections on one page I could theoretically set up 6 "sub-windows" to print on that one page, each window closely zoomed in on a separate intersection to catch all the geometry and striping which normally get lost when I "Print Window" the whole network area; 7 - Adjusting turning volumes and street names was already mentioned, but I completely agree with this idea. Adjusting these labels for closely-spaced intersections can be a headache sometimes; 8 - Ability to display multiple traffic components (e.g., volumes, distances, green, yellow, LOS, etc.), rather than just one or a few 9 - A way to setup a default header/footer scheme in Synchro. The coding designations are OK, but I would like to have Synchro always display them in the same places everytime. For example, report-title in the top left corner, alternative in the top right, analyst/date in the bottom left, and so on; and 10 - Header/footer options in the Warrants module A few of these came to mind rather quickly to address general Synchro use, so I wouldn't be surprised if they sound a bit ambitious or unfeasible |

Gregory you said , "Ctrl+F function makes searching the entire document extremely time-saving"
Seriously? I am still in favor of old version of help. why not both? the PDF can be an additional document. Is there a better way to print the time space diagram? can there be a control of naming intersection. There should be a way of tricking the current approach of intersection naming (based on southbound and eastbound approach). if your southbound approach is a driveway of business and the northbound is a road/freeway ramp, the name should be by freeway ramp/ropad, not by driveway. |
