Warrants 7 is Trafficware's software to implement the methods of the 2003 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Warrants 7 includes all eight warrants from Chapter 4. With Warrants 7, the user can:
* Store and analyze the warrants for all intersections in the study area in a single file for easy project management * Write data from Synchro via a button click * Read/Write data using Universal Traffic Data Format (UTDF) * Create professional looking reports * Enable only the warrants desired for review * Create summary reports for ALL intersections in the study area to quickly let you view the status of warrants Warrants 7 will be ready for release later this week. John,
Will Warrants 7 be a seperate purchase or will it be an "upgrade" for existing users? Thanks Mark |

Hi Mark,
This will be a separate package that can be added as an option. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

Hi Eric,
Do you know of a summary page showing the differences between the Federal warrants and the California MUTCD warrants? Thanks! John. John Albeck Trafficware |

Hello John:
Does 'Warrants 7' work with both licenses for SYNCHRO Studio Version 7.0 and SYNCHRO plus SimTRAFFIC Version 7.0? Thanks, Dave |

Hi Dave,
Warrants will work with Synchro or Synchro Plus. The Warrants 7 will actually work as a stand-alone package. The advantage to using this w/ Synchro is for transferring data between the packages. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

So if I updated to the latest build, would my Studio 7 license allow me to run Warrants?

Hi Mark,
Sorry for my confusion. No, Warrants is a separate software program, sold separately. It will require a different key code. You can see pricing on this by going to the online store. As with any of the tools, you can try it in Demo mode to get an idea of the look and capabilities. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

John, here are two pages that may answer your above question-
Part 4 of the California MUTCD (highway traffic signals) http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/traffops/signtech/mutcdsupp/pd...cd/CAMUTCD-Part4.pdf and a comparison document between the California Supplement and the California MUTCD http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/traffops/signtech/mutcdsupp/pd...mutcd/changelist.pdf Eric |

Can california users expect any form of downloadable updates to reflect CA amendments to the 2003 MUTCD warrants standards (per links from the user above)?
Also, is there any way in the Warrants 7 module to insert header/footer information? I cannot find any place to do this. Thx. |

According to FHWA, there are:
* 23 States plus Puerto Rico adopted the national MUTCD without a supplement. * 23 States plus the District of Columbia adopted the National MUTCD with a State supplement. * 4 States have a State MUTCD in substantial conformance with the National MUTCD. You can find the latest information at: http://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/knowledge/natl_adopt_2000_2003.htm |
