I am trying to run multiple 3D scenarios with different lane configurations. I have set up one file with many 3D objects.
Then, when I wanted to create a second file with different lane configurations, all of my 3D object settings were gone, as expected. Since I know that the 3D viewer uses more than one file to produce its graphics, I tried deleting and reinserting each of the different file types into the directory. I discovered that the s3x file is the one that is responsible for the object settings. I thought that I had hit the jackpot.
Then, to my chagrin, I realized that exchanging the file between scenarios, while copying over the objects, also copied over the lane configurations.
Does anyone know if there is a way to exchange the objects between scenarios?
Okay... sorry I've answered my own question. I found that if you open the .s3x file in notepad. Then, just change the history record file to the correct one. Hope this helps someone.
Could you go through this in a bit more detail? I have a model that I want to show as a TWSC, Signal and Rndabout but I don't want to lose all my blds and such.
