Hi John,

Could you describe the cleaning process that occurs...please? I've tried to insert 3ds files...and have changed the mod files accordingly...but still end up with an error. Could you help me out on this, please? Thx

Hi Sean,

At this time, the library of images is not intended to be modified. However, I discussed this with programming staff with the following info:

"At this point, a user can use the MilkShape 3D program ( http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch) to clean up 3ds files.

To clean a 3ds file, import the file into MilkShape 3D and then export it again. If the file can be cleaned, it will work in 3D Viewer right away. Otherwise, the program will still crash. This process works on 90% of the files. There are some 3ds files that will not work even after going through this process.

A future version of 3D viewer will be able to import from a variety of file formats and maintain a library of 3d files."

As noted, not all images will work. The user will need trial and error along with a dose of patience!

Thanks,

John.
