Is there a way to edit data for example lane configuration in one file and apply this change to multiple Synchro 6 files without editing each one individually?

There might be a few ways to do this.
1) Create a dummy Synchro file. Enter your example lane geometry. Give this intersection (or intersections) the same node numbers as in your real files. Open real file #1. Use the command File->Merge, then find the dummy file. Use the Merge by ID option and check only the Lanes option to merge in this data. 2) Another option would be to take an example Synchro file and go to Transfer->Data-Access. Click on the Lane tab. Press the [Select] button and give the file a name (use the csv format). You may or may not want to include Volume data (traffic volumes, peds, etc.). Click the [Write] button to save this to a UTDF file in csv format. Find the file and open it with your spreadsheet. You can edit this data (copy, paste, change node numbers, etc) with the spreadsheet. Save this back to the UTDF format. Open your real Synchro file and go back to the Transfer->Data-Access (UTDF). This time, [Read] the data in. These options work very well. I would suggest you try this with some test files to feel comforable with the process before attempting with your actual files. You'll have this down in no time. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

" You can edit this data (copy, paste, change node number, etc) "
newbie here. I am trying to rename all intersections ID by adding 1000 (for example: 1 would be 1001). Manually will take me days. I tried ur way listed above, but i am afraid no change took place. actually the ID is used for reference, so i had no node ID when reading from .csv Hope i can get an answer back. 3 years so far |
