I have had difficulty importing Synchro UTDF files into Vissim. I cannot find any information as to the procedure for doing this and I keep receiving errors in Vissim when I import the files. Any advise?

Hello,
The import of UTDF into other programs would require contact with the other software maker. The UTDF specs are listed in the Synchro Help file. Maybe a reader of this post can add to this discussion. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

In SYNCHRO, go to Transfer --> Data Access
Then, under the Write Volume, Timing, Phasing, Lane, and Layout tabs, click "WRITE" for each one (adjusting parameters if necessary) After doing this, you will have all of the csv files for VISSIM to read in the network. |

Having major problems with this as well...PTV has no such forum that I know of so I hope someone here can help...After exporting all the files from Synchro (V.6 is preferred for VISSIM I think) I try to import...
Network is imported accurately but then if I try to simulate, I get NEMA syntax errors - (line 48, character 13 or so)...Signal Controller tab in VISSIM has errors too says character should be between 0 and 20000000 or so. Any advice/help? Thanks, Todd |

I am having problems with this as well. After creating the .csv files and linking vissim to the right directory I still get a series of import errors.
Anyone have any advice on this? also, PTV does have a forum: http://www.ptvamerica.com/bb/index.php Thanks, Stephanie |
