In a four legged intersection, if one of the approach (lets say the west approach) is one-way towards the intersection (eastbound direction), why can't I code the opposite approach as a shared westbound left and right turn lane? Currently Synchro only lets you put in a separate lane for left and right turns. If there is a way to code it please let me know.
Thanks. |

Hi JK,
In this case, code the WB with a WBT and a shared left and right lane. Do not code a WBT volume. Synchro and SimTraffic will then ignore (not place) a downstream WB receiving lane. - John. John Albeck Trafficware |

Hi John,
I am facing exactly the same problem. Coding WB approach with a WBT and shared WBL and WBR lane wouldn't produce LOS for individual WBR and WBL movements. Any suggestion? Thanks. |

Hi MRT,
If you code the WBR and WBL shared, they will be considered a lane group and will only get one delay and LOS. If they are coded as separate lanes, then you get a delay/LOS for both movements. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |
