Main street coordinated, cross street actuated with Min Recall for left-turns. Problem is occassionally main street stays green through Force Off point in one cycle, extends the green for one whole cycle and terminates at next Force Off. This creates long queue on side street. Please give some insight on this issue, as what Synchro parameters could affect the way main street goes back to coordination. Thanks.

Hi transly,
It is probably related to the Yield Point setting (single, flexible or by Phase). If you have selected By Phase, then the coord phase can change the yield point beyond the original point. If that doesn't seem to answer it, please feel free to email me the file to support@trafficware.com. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

John,
I have tried changing the Yield Point setting. With SINGLE, it is very typical to have a main street green much longer than cycle length (didn't stop at the first Force Off). With BY PHASE, the super long main street green happens only a few (2 ~ 3) times in an hour. Is there deterministic logic in Synchro/SimTraffic to tell how a controll would go back to coordination, like dwelling extensively in green in the case I have now. |

Hi transly,
If there are any Min Errors, this could be the issue. SimTraffic cannot have a ped time that kicks it out of coord, then back in. If that isn't it, go ahead and send the file to me for review. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

Ped min error is the key.
Thanks, John. |
