I would like to know if there is a way in SimTraffic to create specific paths for vehicles from one intersection to another.
For example, at an upstream intersection I have vehicles leaving a mall and vehicles exiting a freeway and would like to tell the mall vehicles to turn right at the next downstream intersection and the freeway vehicles to turn left. Currently the right and left turns at the downstream instersection are roughly equal volumes and it appears that SimTraffic is assigning half of the traffic from each link to each turn, however I know the behavior to be different than that and would like to change it. Thank you. |

Hi Steve,
You can change the link orign and destination volumes. Do this in the Volume window for the downstream intersection. Choose the button for the appropriate direction. Then, you can change the To/From Weight factors to control the paths of vehicles between adjacent intersections. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |
