I have an Eastbound dual left turn that is backing up. While looking at it, I noticed that the inside lane was being assigned both the inside lane and the middle lane of the three Northbound lanes it is turning on to. Is there a way I can change the lane assignments so that the inside lane is only allowed to turn into the inside through movement?

There is no way to change the lane assignments. The lane assignments depend on how the network is coded (even to the level of designating lanes as storage lanes).

If you are confident in the network geometry, you could also use the Synchro-Link Settings-Lane Change Dist feature to adjust the lane changing behavior, which will impact the lane utilization in SimTraffic. Thanks for the reply Jeff,

I was able to get the traffic volumes to avoid queing by reducing the lane change distances at the next intersection.

I'm finding this is creating weaving in the downstream leg of my network. I'd like to recommend to the development team that the capability to manipulate the default turning lane assignments should be included in an update or the next version.
