Hi
In simtraffic there is a feature named starting vehicle, which to my understanding is the vehicle already present in the network. The default value is '0'. Why this value is zero? Is it possible to change it? How? Thanks and regards Jahid |

Hi Jahid,
This is actually a reporting problem with the current build of SimTraffic. Interval one is incorrectly reporting zero starting vehicles. In fact, we are working on a new build right now to address this reporting issue. We hope to have this build ready at the end of the week. Thanks to comments from users like yourself, we're correcting some of these issues. We appreciate your comments on the software. Keep an eye out for the new build soon. In fact, the next build will allow the software to automatically check for build updates automatically. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

Hi
I have downloaded the new Build (610), so there are starting vehicles now. My question is how do I change the number? How does Synchro/Simtraffic determines the number of starting vehicles? What is the basis of this number? Thanks Jahid |

Hi Jahid,
This is the number of vehicles in the network when you start an interval. For interval 1, the starting vehicles is the number of ending vehicles for the seeding interval. If you seeded for a longer time, the starting vehicles might be larger. Also, when you change the volumes, the starting vehicles will also change. However, you do not directly change the number of starting vehciles. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |
