My name is Jae and I am a new user of Simtraffic 6. I am currently trying to determine if a heavy truck will be counted differently in Simtraffic as opposed to passenger cars. For example, if I have traffic count data for 600 vehicles for a particular link, when simulating in simtraffic, do I use 600 for link volume or some other number if the data also shows that about 5% of the 600 vehicles were tractor-trailers? You would put heavy vehicle percentage in synchro. This can be movement specific but in terms of types of regular vehicles (car/car pool etc) and typs of heavy vehicles (Bus/Semi) etc will be defined by default of the simtraffic (unless you change it). but the split among the regular and heavy vehicles is applicable for the whole file.
