Hello everybody:
I have this situation, i am analysing an arterial street with 18 signalized intersections. Some of the intersections have pedestrians actuated phase and has cross walk and flashing cross walk timing provided by county. The minor street has split phase, total of 15 seconds. the cross walk and flashing cross walk totals 22 seconds and major street totals 53 secs making 105 seconds cycle length. i was wondering how i can model this senario. should i use 22 seconds of cross walk and flashing cross walk time to main street as pedestrian volume was observed very low. if i add 22 seconds to minor street, the cycle length will change to 127 seconds because minor street has split phase and 22 seconds will be added for both east and westbound ( minor streets). I appreciate your response. thanks. |

Is this an Actuated-Coordinated system? If that is the case, then the cycle should remain constant (for Synchro and SimTraffic). Synchro cannot drop out of coordination, then back in. So, if the peds are very low, you would want to ignore them.
Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |
