Hi Eric,

Yes, you can print background images in Synchro V5 with the command, File->Print-Window if you are in the Map window. However, if the image doesn't appear, it may be a printer memory issue. You may need to zoom in on your area a bit more, try another printer, or reduce the Printer memory setting. The printer memory setting is an option when you import the background image. You may need to re-import the image and reduce this.

Thanks,

John.

The printer memory was already set to 2MB, won't go much lower Big Grin I'm trying to print to a HPDJ5500 plotter, but I'd like to print the whole network for a display. The image is a grayscale jpeg from terraserver 8800x3600 pixel (~7MB) Zoom scale set to 1in/1450ft.
Still wouldn't print though. ha ha
is this feature improved any in version 6?

Hi Eric,

This is not any different in V5 and V6. If you open this image in Paintbrush, are you able to print from there? If not, that would give an indication that it is a print memory issue.

Thanks,

John.

Printing the image in paint isn't a problem. I've printed images much larger than this in fact from paint. (as bitmaps even - files were ~90MB)

Hi Eric,

I'm afraid my only suggestions would be:

* Try printing to another printer
* Reducing the size of the image and re-importing
* Importing the image again, but reducing the printer memory setting when you import

Thanks,

John.
