Hi John, I'll try to explain this, but I may have to send you the file for you to understand the geometry.
I have a Synchro 5 model of an interchange that has 2 WBRT lanes at the south intersection. Just north of this intersection (160 ft) the right two (of six) NB lanes leave the arterial to get onto the interstate. I have used the O-D editor to make sure none of the WBRT vehicles use the exit ramp. The problem is that none of the vehicles on the ramp will use the right most right turn lane. When I view the lane assignments it shows that right most turn lane turning into the right most NB lane (which exits). Any suggestions? Is there a way to change the lane assignment so that the left most right turn lane will turn into the two left lanes NB, and the right most right turn lane will turn into the center two NB lanes? |

Hi Ryan,
Unfortunately, there is no way to specify the paths through the intersections. The rightmost lane will enter the northbound most right lane. It doesn't sound like this is an option, but can you code a turn pocket for the NBR that flows onto the freeway? Or, is this lane needed to receive downstream throughs? - John.
