I got a situation like this: NB approach has 1 LT pocket, 2 thru lanes, and 1 RT pocket. the NB downstream link got 2 exclusive LT lanes and 2 thru lanes. the two thru lanes are not aligned correctly with downstream thru lanes in Simtraffic. the left thru lane of the NB approach is aligned with the right exclusive LT lane of the downstream link. and i wouldn't like to code the exclusive LT lanes as storage lanes, or the eastbound LT vehicles cannot get on the left most LT lanes directly. pls advice. thanks in advance
Well, the best way to get the through lanes to align is to code a left turn pocket for the NBL's at the downstream intersection. Maybe set these equal to the length of the link between the two intersection. I know you prefer not to do this, but is the only way to get the lanes to align. The EBL vehicles will quickly change lanes into the NBL if they are making that movement.
