I have two full access signalized driveway, say they are east and west intersection. now there is a rightin/rightout (RIRO) driveway in between. Now the westbound left turn (WBL) bays at the west intersection starts before the RIRO Driveway,
So when i simulate, the storage for WBL bays are longer than the link length (may be by 70') . To fix that, if i code the bays at the west intersection as lanes then the left most through lane at right in right out intersection line with the WBL Turn lane. How can i create a short lane next to the leftmost through lane which will become the left turn lane at the west intersection? I cannot assume another lane upto the east intersection. Am I clear enough? Thanks Jahid |

Hi Jahid,
Your post does make sense. This is a case where you'll have to trick the model. It sounds as if you have the lanes coded correctly. That is, a WBL at the western intersection with zero storage and an added through lane at the RIRO to line up. Next, go to the RIRO intersection, Lanes settings. Click in any cell of the WB direction and press [Ctrl]+[U]. This will open a U-turn column. Set a storage length of 70' (or the distance beyond the RIRO you want). Then, set the storage lanes to '1'. This will add the leftmost WBT to the storage. When you leave this screen, the WBU column will disappear. If you need to edit this value, you'll need to press [Ctrl]+[U] again. Thanks, John.
