I am running SimTraffic using SimTraffic 6. I have some problems with the lane alignment. I have two intersections: A and B. The NBL turn lanes at intersection A seems not align with the receiving lanes of interseciton B (three receiving lanes, one exclusive WBL, one shared WBL and Through, one shareed WBT and right). The inner left turn lane at intersection A can get on both of the WBL of intersection B, and the far-side left turn is almost empty, because majory of the NBL traffic will WBL at B again.
I tried a lot, but it didn't help. Do you have any advice on this? Thanks! |

In SimTraffic, go to Options>Map-Settings and turn on the Intersection Paths. Notice how these paths are aligning in the intersection. In version 6, these paths cannot be changed. In a case like this, you might need to reduce the lane change distances on the downstream link. But, this will be a limited issue.
If you have version 7 available, I would suggest using that. You can change the Intersection Paths via the Lane Alignment setting found in the Simulation Options. Thanks, John John Albeck Trafficware |
