Hello everybody,

‘Near’ capacity or ‘at’ capacity intersection simulation sometimes give very close queue length value (for left-turn lane) in simtraffic simulation. I know simtraffic doesn’t count queue that exceeds the storage length. Therefore, I have tried to increase the storage length by 100% and gave more green time to avoid spill over situation. Result does not always correct the problem.

Any other suggestion to handle this type ‘unwanted queue value’?

Hi Dewan

One way would be to use Network offset optimization. It in the "Optimize" Menu. What it does, it selects the best offset value for the network, which will reduce dealys and synchronize the light, and MAY reduce your unwanted queue
