We have a consultant building a network. They claim that SimTraffic 7 has an issue with not always recognizing detectors and therefore won't place a call to that phase - such as a left turn or even a through phase. Is this a known issue?

I think that all is good on this end. SimTraffic (and Synchro) version 7 do have more detailed modeling of detectors. It could be related to that. But, when coded per the manual, they'll work just fine.
