We are working on a project where we are using Synchro for analysis and reporting Sim Traffic queues. On the Sim Traffic Queuing and Blocking report, certain movements aren't reporting 95th queues under signal control. This applies mainly to right-turns, but all movements are affected. In certain cases, there are 2 through lanes, but a queue length is reported for only 1 of the lanes. In addition, we are doing an AM & PM analysis and the queue report for the AM will show a queue for a certain movement, but not for the PM. The simulation is showing queued vehicles. We've looked at several parameters and can't seem to find any rhyme or reason as to why queues aren't being reported consistently. Any suggestions?

Hi John,
There *should* be just one reason for this. That reason would be that no queue is measured. A queue is measured when a vehicle slow to 10 ft/s and is behind another vehicle. If not, the queue will be blank for that movement. If you'd like, send me the SYN and SIM files. Please note the intersection and movement with the issue and I'll be happy to check it out. Thanks, John John Albeck Trafficware |
