I have a network that has different peak hour time intervals for different approaches sometimes even within the same intersection. For example, I have an intersection where the peak 15 min volume occurs at 4:15 on the EB leg and the peak 15 minute volume occurs at 4:45 on the SB leg.
In SimTraffic it seems i can only apply the PHF to one time period across the entire network. Thus causing both approaches to peak simultaneously in my simulation which is not correct. Is there a work around for this problem? |

Hi BDamiani,
This is true that the PHF adjustment in SimTraffic applies to only one interval. If you wanted a more realistic simulation, then I'd suggest you read the volumes from a UTDF volume data file (Volume.csv format). See page 22-6 of the Synchro Studio User Guide for details on this. I've attached an example Volume.csv file that can be opened and edited with a spreadsheet. This sample has 3 nodes in it and the INTID must match the node numbers in the Synchro file. Thanks, John.
