In one of my files when I ran Simtraffic 7 and checked the box for arterial report, it gave me the "exception range check error" and wouldn't show the arterial report. i read your previous postings but didn't see any quick fix for the problem. I would like to know why the errors occur. Can you help?
Thanks.

Hi Cathy,

It hard to say without the file since this is often case specific. But, make sure all nodes on the arterial have volumes. If not, you'll get this error.

Also check your build (Help>Check-for-updates).

If those don't do it, please send us the file and we'll be happy to take a look. Be sure to indiate the arterial you are attempting to get the report for.

Thanks,

John.

Thanks John. I did install the new Build 761; however, new error message came up:
Exception Access violation at address 000C5A53 in module 'Simtraffic7.exe'. Read of address 00000024

May I send you the files via email ? It is a small network with only 6 intersections.

thanks.

Hi Cathy,

You bet, feel free to send me the files to support@trafficware.com. I'll need the *.syn an *.sim files.

Thanks,

John

I am also experiencing this same problem using Build 761 as well. John, did you have a solution for this?

Thanks,
Howard

If memory serves me, it was a long arterial with a short simulation. Vehicles were not getting through the network so there were some zero values at the ends of the arterial. Setting the seed and record to longer times could help.

Also, make sure you don't have any zero volume values on the arterial you are trying to get a report for. The SimTraffic report looks for the statistics for the through movement. If this is zero, you'll get the error message.

Thanks,

John
