I have an interchange design (button hook)that has two exit lanes into a 4-leg right channelized intersecion; right turning destined vehicles will utilize both lanes when exiting the freeway; however, when approaching the intersection, vehicles in the outside lane (2nd lane from outside edge of pavement)do not change lanes to their channelized right turn lane, instead the vehicle continues into the thru-left lane past the right channel, but just prior to arriving at the stop bar, it will dissapear from that lane and reappear about half way into the 40m (130 ft.)channelization and continue with the right turn. I am wondering if anyone had this issue in the past and was it possible to resolve it?
Thank you, Dan |

does the car change color? (when you have vehicle color by turn type)
it sounds like you may have an imbalance in volumes, or perhaps truck%, that is causing a vehicle of one type to be removed and another to be added. Eric Royer Caltrans |

No, the vehicle is yellow, indicating right turn (as per default).

Don't know. perhaps the right channelized turn radius is too large for the simulation, or for some reason (maybe a skew) starts too far back from the stop line?
