I noticed on the discription of SimTraffic 7 that it now has density as one of its performance measures. As this is a main reason I have not recommended SimTraffic for freeway analysis (FHWA requires that all analysis be able to be "replicated" using HCM methods), I want to verify that this density measure was introduced with freeway evaluation in mind.
