Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with using GIS/shp files as backgrounds. I usually use jpeg/dxf, but I might have access to GIS files on an upcoming project. I know nothing about these, so any comments on their usability, how they look, file extensions (just shp?) etc would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

I don't know. I would assume so, but I was more curious about why you'd want to leave them as SHP files. The Synchro documentation also mentions index files associated with the shp files. Would these provide scale, coordinates, etc?

I've never used shp, and good with the other formats. Mostly curious if anyone has any comments on shps.
