Wondering does anyone have any idea on how to convert pedestrian volumes into pedestrian calls, for a downtown in Southern California? The pedestrian volumes of using the crosswalks is range from 10 to 600 ped per hour.

I have used the formula below,

Ped calls =(1-EXP(-(Number of peds*cycle length/3600)))*(3600/cycle length)

This was recieved from Fairfax County, VA.
it has its own limitations
