how can we model leading pedestrian interval (LPI) in synchro? suppose i would like to provide 4 seconds of LPI, how would i do that in synchro? Thanks.

Hi,

My thought is that you might have to code in a dummy phase to start up as the same time as your ped leading phase. Overall, this will make your split 4 seconds longer.

Wouldn't adjusting your all-red intervals accomplish the same thing? Bump those up 4 seconds, and it should be the same impact on vehicular traffic. I don't think you'd be able to code an early start for the waiting peds though, but I'm guessing you're mainly looking at the impacts to traffic.
