I have used the Merge Files command to import lane geometry and signal phasing / timing data and it seems to work fine so far. I read on Page 14-1 in the Synchro 7 Users Guide to sentences that appear contradictory:

"The Merge command can combine some data, such as volumes, from one file with other data, such as lane geometry and timings, from another file."

and

"File Merge will not add links or nodes, nor change lane geometry ."

The first statement seems to indicate that the Merge file command will change the lane geometry and the second statement appears to say that it will not. My limited experience indicates that the Merge command can change lane geometry. Please clarify.

it adds the lane configuration if that column is empty. but does not change when there is lane configuration is already filled out.
