Hi Ivan,

One way to do this is to put a dummy link on your road at the location of the ped crossing. Do not put any lanes or volumes on this added link, only on the main street.

In the Timing Screen, enter a phase number for the main street and one in the Ped Column for the Ped Phase. Be sure to use some sort of actuated controller.

In the Phasing window, enter the ped times and then some Ped Calls. This intersection should not be activated until you get a ped call.

Thanks,

John.

I am trying to do something similar, with vehicles-only moving North/South and pedestrians-only moving East/West. Is it possible in Synchro to add this type of "intersection" without the dummy E/W roadway still being displayed?

It would be great if the stop-lines for the northbound and southbound cars could be separated by just the width of the crosswalk, rather than the width of a nonexistent roadway.

Thanks,
