I am reading a project scope and came across the following:
Network Analysis: The Consultant shall perform a network analysis using the Synchrony Pro package as a preprocessor for data entry into the NETSIM or CORSIM/SYNCHRO software package. This task includes the coding of the network, including distances between intersection, geometrics, volumes, timings and any other necessary data for three time perids for an existing and up to two proposed conditions. My questions are: 1. Is the above mentioned package preparation tool included in the Synchro? 2. Or is it just the normal coding of the network and inputting the necessary data? Are they talking about the ' UTDF' in the above scope? Regards, Ramesh Reddolu, E.I. |

Hi Ramesh,
On the questions: 1. There is a command Transfer>CORSIM-Analysis. This will export your Synchro file to a *.trf file for use with CORSIM. Some additional notes: a. You MUST have knowledge of how to edit CORSIM *.trf files. Synchro is a very good start, but you almost always need to edit data in the *.trf file. There are items that might not be compatible between the 2 models and must be fully checked in CORSIM. b. If you have Synchro Light, or Educational, the Transfer to CORSIM option is not available. 2. I believe they are talking about the Synchro Transfer to CORSIM command. But, it is always best to check with your client and not assume. I'm not sure if "Synchrony Pro" is a typo? It would be Synchro. Thanks, John. John Albeck Trafficware |

It seems like a typo error. I will check with the client about that.
Thanks for the input John! |
