Hey guys,
I need to create a series of sheet files of several intersections in my network, therefore I am trying to print to pdf from SYnchro and although it works, it is not displaying my specified map settings correctly.

I want the background color to remain as per screen default (greenish color) and although I set this through OPTIONS>MAP SETTINGS it continues to print the background as white.

I have tried several pdf writers and all do the same. I have tried adjusting the harware acceleration as per Johns instructions in another post and still prints in white.

I have also tried hiding the dxf background file I was using but again, nothing.

Is there something I'm missing here??? ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've also had this problem. My aerial photo background will disapear when I print to PDF and I get the white default background.

If you go to File>Print Window>Header and then change the name or re-type the name then your original background will transfer to the PDF.

Don't know why this works but its worked for me in the past. Good luck.

Thanks for the posts. This is something we are looking into to see where the issue is. I'm not sure if it is a PDF item or something else. But, thanks again.

Could this possibly be related to one of your Internet Options (like it can be, with HCS) ?

Try this:
Go to Tools -> Internet Options
Go to the Advanced tab
Scroll down to where it says "Printing"

Make sure the box is Checked for "Print background colors and images"

For some reason, this affects other programs too, whether or not they're related to the actual Internet.
